Varner Wines was founded by twins, Bob & Jim Varner in the 1980s where they astutely began planting vines in California's Paso Robles region, which is now one of the US' finest. Focusing on no-nonsense, minimalist winemaking, they are best known for doing what California does best: the big & bold. Foxglove Zinfandel 2020 is taken from plantings across Paso Robles and is a delicious, quintessential Zin. Completely unoaked, it has a vibrant nose of ripe bramble, blackcurrant, pepper and plum moves to a soft palate with balanced acidity and more fruity oomph. A super versatile wine which is equally at home in front of a winter fire or paired with a summer BBQ.
